Re: Wellingborough Lakes 2010
i had a fella on the phone last night asking what my aims were for the lakes were fish wise' i said to him the lakes are always changing some fish go up in weight as others go down but my realistic targets are to have 10 x 30s in the small island lake we have 7 and there are 3-4 very close now' i can see the big common in there making 38-39lb before long' how big single scale will go your guess is as good as mine'
20 x 30s in the heron lake with it already doing 17 dif ones and there are 3-4 not far away it will be interresting to see what weights rudder '38' and the big common '38' go later this year'
30 x 30s in the mill lake with it already doing 23 dif ones i suspect there are 4-5 others already over the 30 mark with 4-5 others very close'
i can't get my head around the fact all three lakes might have mir/com 40s in within 12-18 months'
i will be adding 30 doubles and 20 singles to the mill lake very soon' 60 singles to the island lake and 40 singles to the heron lake' i will be watching the weights of the bigger ones carefully hoping they dont slow down after the new ones go in'

The only way you can get it cheap is if you buy it in the winter and fill your freezer up. Last time i spoke with Mike it was about £7.50 a kilo. He quite rightly said he won't sell it any cheaper as it is a good bait and people are prepared to pay upto £10 a kilo for it ! He will supply you with the base mix and all the bits and pieces to roll your own which will work out a bit cheaper but who likes rolling at home
The only other way is if you get a bait deal from kent particles as they are an approved rolling company for essential.
Hope that helps

disagree there thomo, i have delt with them for years, they been brilliant and do some proper good deals, i,e a trip to france you can get 5k boilies, paste, pop ups,and dip for £50 and its well worth it. i would recomend them all day long.

Fair do's mate but I think you've been lucky, and to be honest for £50 I want the best part of 10k, not meaning Wilmotts gear there!
Here's a couple of recent threads about them

yeh fair comments, they have always been good with me but first time i bought they said they were busy and wanted extra time to make it, ipointed out it was for france and it came 3 days later. We all have some bad times with companys at some point i supose, i have no idea which bait i will use this year although every time i blanked last year some one always seemed to be using the cell, and caught
so imopen to sugestions, hope the bang on lads are rolling plenty as i like theres, i still have 5k tucked away in the freezer for prebaiting in a few weeks time.

Hi Yoda, All quiet down the mill carp wise hoping this warmer weather that's heading this way will help to improve that. Trouble is some bugger has put valentines right smack in the middle of a weekend. Me wonders whether a night on the mill and a
or
will be what the wife has in mind ????
