bespoke leads?

Post  Coops on Thu Apr 15, 2010 11:23 pm

Just a quick question on the lead design.

Would you be able to make a swivel lead with the swivel sunk into the body of the lead instead of on a wire loop? If so I will order a few for France mainly pear and flat pear.

For France I am looking for 1.25 1.5 1.75 2 That kind of size, if they turn out well then I will replace all my leads with this style. the shapes would be pear and/or flat pear, maybe bottles and square bottles, or even the old favorites ball leads.

The theory is around a few things really based on previous use of this style of lead (fox ones) I'm on my phone just now so can't be bothered to ho into great detail but I believe that hooking, casting, anti tangle properties are all enhanced with this arrangement.

Well I back this idea just because of the reason I was using a choddy on heron and lead with the wire link to the swivel and on this certain type of the batch of leads I had ordered the components needed didn't fit half sharp (shit) anyway I chucked it out onto the spot but didn't get it right so I reeled in to find the choddy hook had looped through the little metal loop and the coating had gone all funny (shit leads they were so I'm not using them ever again)

Dan, do you use a silicone sleeve or "helicopter rubber sleeve" to cover over the metal loop?

Sounds like you are not using or the bottom bead is not high enough scratch

Dan the bottom bead needs to be 6"-8" from your lead

Yes but, well I'll tale a pic later or something, what I mean is the components that were listed didn't fit the design of leads etc there was like a 5 mil gap between the lead and rubber etc, I took it straight off and stuck a Korda one one Smile

See with the style of lead I'm talking about there bis .no need to use other products to cover the pivot points.
Aaron has been great and very proactive in this and has found moulds already, top bloke, once people see the benefits of this lead arrangement they will be top sellers.
